‘Best Places to Work’ Awards RBFCU — Again — as No. 1

San Antonio Business Journal presents RBFCU with top award for second time in three years

LIVE OAK, Texas (Aug. 6, 2021) — For the second time in the past three years, Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is No. 1 in the “Best Places to Work” awards from the San Antonio Business Journal. RBFCU was No. 1 in 2019, also in the Extra Large category for companies with at least 250 employees.

“We are honored and blessed to receive this recognition,” RBFCU Executive Vice President-Chief Financial Officer Mark Sekula said. “Winning it twice in the last three years reinforces the culture we try to build and development and maintain because we know our employees are our greatest asset day in and day out.”

These results were based on employee responses gathered by a third-party survey conducted in the spring. The survey, administered by Quantum Workplace based in Omaha, Neb., requested honest feedback and was designed to measure employee engagement within the participating companies.

“This program allows our employees to be honest and share their enthusiasm about what they do every day,” Mr. Sekula said. “Our culture allows employees to focus on the mission of people helping people.”

RBFCU counts more than 2,000 employees in service areas located in and around San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and Dallas-Fort Worth. Also this year, RBFCU has been:

• Recognized in the top 10 of the “Best Places to Work in Central Texas” awards by the Austin Business Journal, a top-10 showing for the first time in Austin
• Qualified for “Best Places to Work” consideration by the Dallas Business Journal (finalists will be announced later in August)

This year, RBFCU also has been named “Best Credit Union” in the San Antonio Express-News YOUR SA Readers’ Choice Awards. RBFCU has been named “Best of the Best” credit unions by MemberXP. RBFCU is ranked No. 1 in Texas by Forbes in its “America’s Best Credit Unions in Each State” program.

Also, RBFCU’s on-site healthcare provider, Health By Design, was awarded as No. 4 among 15 companies that were listed as “Best Places to Work” in the Large category.

Overall, 80 local companies were included in the San Antonio Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” list. RBFCU joined four other companies (Accenture, Broadway Bank, Gonzaba Medical Group and HOLT CAT) that were honored as an “Extra Large Employer” with more than 250 employees.
