Interns Learn About RBFCU Volunteer Culture

LIVE OAK, Texas (July 26, 2024) — RBFCU senior leaders Ashley Ward and Charles Beierle joined with our summer interns to show them how a community-minded credit union lives up to the creed of “people helping people” by getting out and volunteering. Not only will these interns know about the business their departments conduct, they’ll know that RBFCU invests in volunteering.

All employees get four hours of community-investment hours each year. Opportunities can be found through the RBFCU Volunteer Corps.

The opportunity for the interns came at the San Antonio Food Bank, where our team helped to distribute 21,000 pounds of food and box more than 37,000 pounds of food (30 pallets). It did not go unnoticed — Eric Cooper is president and CEO at the Food Bank, and he stopped by during a lunch break to thank them and RBFCU for our continued support of volunteer initiatives and annual donation events.
