RBFCU Project Management Provides 'Neighborly Service'

LIVE OAK, Texas (Dec. 17, 2024) — Our Project Management Office at RBFCU has a mind for packaging ideas and effort as our IT developers and business units create products and services for our members. A big representation of the office’s leadership, project managers and Process Improvement team members kept that productive spirit going as they stepped out into the community to package meals at the start of the holiday season.

It started as a goal to package more than 70 frozen turkeys for pickup and delivery through the House of Neighborly Service charity organization. But it became another opportunity for our team of volunteers to show that we Go Beyond Banking in our service to communities.

The director of House of Neighborly Service was short of volunteers and staff needed to meet the community needs in a timely manner, so our project team quickly organized to distribute hot meals and other food items across three routes. Go Beyond? Yes! The team also restocked and organized the pantry.

Because of the RBFCU Project Management Office’s willingness to step out into the community, the director at House of Neighborly Service saw that the work completed would have taken their food distribution team a week of focused effort to complete. That’s project management and process improvement, and that’s working to Go Beyond Banking!

This RBFCU team felt the blessing of volunteering to help our communities and seeing the reaction of the people they served.
